COFFEE FACTS
Coffee seedlings mature in five years. If well maintained, each coffee tree will produce for 20 – 30 years. Yields tend to drop over time.
The average yield from one coffee tree is about one pound of roasted coffee.
While there are many species of coffee trees in the world, only two are extensively cultivated commercially: Arabica and Robusta. First Colony roasts only 100% Arabica beans.
Brazil is the largest coffee producing country in the world responsible for 30 – 40% of the total world output.
